Easter brings new beginnings as spring proceeds. I travel through Salzburg with my bike to and from places. Meeting friends, drama rehearsals or just for groceries. Along my way, I bring the small camera to gather the interesting displays and moments. These are a selection from March to May around Easter.

The catholic christians celebrate earlier than the greek orthodox christians I discovered. A greek friend of mine invited me along late in the evening in Salzburg. It is interesting to learn that a small community exists here in a small part of Austria. While painted Easter eggs are very much an Alpine tradition carried out to perfection each year through out the Alps. These ones below in reds, blues, dark brown or black make an ideal gift. While pussy willow is a popular decoration for homes at this time. The first of the markets arrive with crafts and arts for sales with music on offer a midst a sun filled afternoon with a friend or two.
