Entire day’s hiking back and forth to the Carsaig Arches on the Isle of Mull. It’s about 3 hours to get there slowly over rocky ground, but it’s worth it to see this wonder! All in all 8 hours with 2 hours driving across the island from my accommodation.

A few color images in the mix in this post, taken again with the iPhone 4, I’m saving the real artwork once I get back to base in Austria to develop and publish in the Mull portfolio in the next few weeks.

It was a beautiful day, in fact too  much sunshine, so once I arrived at the arches I took a nap waiting till late afternoon before the real camera and tripod came out. But you have to wait for those pictures!

My foot and some strange geology on a rock (no it’s not sheep droppings!).

Notice the port holes along the side of the cliff side?

Some more interesting textures and shapes found embedded in the rocks around here.
